Take the cat to a local vet and have the cat scanned for a microchip.

Check local vets and pet shops for "Lost Cat " flyers

Make a "Found Cat" flyers and distribute them in your neighborhood. Also post at local vets, pet shops and any local businesses. And call your local Animal Control to report a found cat.

Finding Your Lost Cat

Post flyers all around your neighborhood and surrounding areas. Hand them out to your neighbors. post them at local Pet Shops and Vets offices and any local businesses that will let you. It's most important that people see them.

Call local animal shelters. Be sure to visit the shelters frequently. Ask to see their live/dead log.

put an ad in your local newspaper

The cat may be very close to your house. Put food outside and check with uour neighbors to see if you can look under their house, in their garage, shed, or anywhere they may be hiding.

You may need to set up a humane trap, if the cat is scared and will not come to you.
Ask your local cat rescue group for help.
