Meet Athena

Introducing Athena….
Athena is a beautiful black tuxedo kitten whose life is just beginning to flourish. She
came from a hoarding situation where human contact was minimal and her world felt
small and uncertain. Because of that, Athena started out shy and unsure, watching
quietly from the sidelines or more likely, under the bed.
Since living with a foster, Athena has been making great progress. Day by day, she’s
learning that humans and toys can be great fun, and there’s no need to hide.
Toys—likely a brand new discovery for her—are now a source of enjoyment, and it’s a
delight to watch her play with toys and other kittens with growing confidence.
Athena is also discovering how good affection can feel. She’s learning to accept love
at her own pace and with patience, consistency, and a calm environment, Athena
continues to blossom into the sweet, playful kitten she was always meant to be.
Athena would thrive in a gentle home that understands her past and celebrates her
progress. In return, she offers something truly special: the chance to watch a
onceoverlooked kitten learn to trust, play, and love—perhaps for the very first time.
