Meet Olivia

Olivia, a special-needs kitty, is very sweet, loving and gentle with big purrs.

She was diagnosed with cutaneous asthenia (Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome). It is a genetic
connective tissue disorder characterized by a collagen defect. Olivia’s skin is fragile and tears very easily.
Olivia wears plastic claw caps to protect her skin. She’s under the care of a veterinarian who practices integrative medicine, a combination of holistic and conventional care.  Olivia had Phovia-Light and Platelet Rich Plasma treatments, which greatly helped her skin. She received microbiome restorative and ozone (O3) therapies. She’s on a diet of Primal and Stella & Chewy’s food.

She’s a happy and playful kitty who would do well with a cat who is at least two years old.

Her fur has grown back and regained its sheen. There isn’t a medical protocol for this
condition. Through her current treatments and care, her skin is free of tears.

Olivia is under the care of a vet who specializes in holistic & conventional medicine. Her vet uses Eastern and Western modalities. Olivia (Ollie, Livie) is highly allergic to lamb and flaxseeds. She must wear claw caps to protect her skin from tears.
